SES principal Bettye Anne Older receives retirement gift

Bettye Anne Older was presented with a watercolor portrait of Straughn Elementary School painted by artist Roger Powell during the last day of school for students on Thursday, May 22.
Older will soon retire from the field of education after 39 years, including the last 27 years with Covington County Schools. She served the last 22 years as the principal of SES.
Daniel Rodgers, who has served as the assistant principal for SES and Straughn Middle School, will become the next principal effective July 1.
