Mary Floyd Studstill

Mary Floyd Studstill, a longtime resident of Andalusia and member of the First Methodist Church, died on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

She was born on Feb. 14, 1923, to Thelma Newell and Robert Cecil Floyd Sr. of Opelika, Alabama. Mary worked at the Draft Board in Andalusia prior to marrying.

Jack Studstill was her husband of 65 years. Mary, a very kind, loving, and thoughtful person, was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Studstill, her brother Robert C. (Bob) Floyd Jr., and her son-in-law, Michael Heninger.

Mary is survived by her brother, J. Newell (Phylis) Floyd of Opelika; her daughters, Sissy (Peter) Aron of Connecticut, Judy Heninger of Santa Rosa Beach; her grandson, Jay (Carrie) Heninger and her great-granddaughters, Julia Ann and Mary Elizabeth Heninger, all of Enterprise; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at a future date. The family would like to thank all the very kind staff at Watercrest Assisted Living in Santa Rosa Beach and a special thank you to Kacie with Emerald Coast Hospice.
