Three athletes representing three different sports will represent their schools and Covington County were announced as South All-Stars for the upcoming 2025 AHSAA North-South All-Star spring sports competition.

Florala’s Easton Walsh was selected to the South’s baseball roster.

Andalusia’s Taya Newton was chosen for the Lady Bulldogs on the South’s softball roster.

Opp’s Clay Kyser was named on the South’s boys’ golf roster.

The teams, comprised of 2026 rising seniors, were announced by Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association Director James “J.T.” Lawrence. The All-Star competition will take place July 21-24 during All-Star Sports Week at various sites in the Montgomery area.

Sports that will be played are baseball, softball, boys’ and girls’ soccer, boys’ and girls’ tennis, and boys’ and girls’ golf.
