Motorcycle crash claims life of Louisiana man

A two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning has claimed the life of a 21-year-old Louisiana man. The incident occurred at approximately 1:50 a.m. on June 15.

Jackson R. Poole, of Youngsville, Louisiana, was critically injured when the 2002 Honda XR200R motorcycle he was riding struck the rear of a 2022 Honda CRF125 motorcycle operated by Elijah W. Bradley, 19, of Andalusia.

Poole was initially transported to Andalusia Health for treatment before being transferred to HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, where he later died from his injuries.

Bradley was also injured in the crash and received treatment at Andalusia Health.

The accident occurred on Covington County Road 102 (Boggan Level Road), near Alabama Highway 137, approximately 10 miles south of Andalusia.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate. No further details are available at this time.
