Local community advocate and small business owner, Ashly Odom, officially announces his candidacy for Andalusia City Council representing District 4 in the upcoming 2025 election.
A long-time resident of District 4, Odom brings with him a deep understanding of the community’s strengths, challenges, and opportunities. His campaign is centered around three pillars: community safety, economic growth, and equitable development.
“District 4 deserves a voice that truly reflects the people who live here—working families, small business owners, young professionals, and seniors alike,” said Odom. “I’m running to ensure our neighborhoods are safe, our local economy thrives, and every resident feels heard and represented at City Hall.”
Odom’s lineage runs deep within District 4 as his grandfather, Jack C. Odom, lived on Easley Drive and ran his successful house moving business for 35 years. He then retired and his son, Marty Odom, took over the business in 2006 and continues to thrive in the house moving business and carrying on the legacy within our district.
The hard work and dedication of these two men inspired Odom to open his own business in 2020 after graduating from Andalusia High School in 2019.
For the past five years, he has prospered in the spray foam insulation industry serving our community as well as the surrounding areas.
Odom is also actively involved in the church where he attends Mill Creek Baptist with his wife. He and his wife are expecting a boy and are excited to continue to plant roots and raise their family on Easley Drive.
As a candidate, Odom plans to meet and listen to the district residents, hear their concerns directly, and collaborate on real solutions. His professional background, ambitious work ethic and innovative mindset gives him a unique and forward-thinking perspective on policy.
“This campaign is about building something together,” Odom added. “I’m not here to speak for the people—I’m here to speak with them.”
