A.G. was born on May 12, 1931, in Covington County, Alabama, to the late Wilmer Gray and the late Mattie Lou (Braden) Palmore. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Lisa (Taylor) Palmore of Cumming, Georgia; a daughter, Melanie Palmore Simon of Marietta,

Georgia; granddaughters Lauren Palmore and Audrey Palmore of San Francisco, California, Jennifer Simon of Denver, Colorado, and Mary Simon of Marietta, Georgia; and grandson Eric Simon of Washington, D.C.
