William Ferrell “Poochie” Dewrell, age 80, of Andalusia, passed away at his home on June 19, 2025.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, 2 p.m., at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Canant officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Mr. Dewrell proudly served his country in the Vietnam War and was a dedicated Vietnam Veteran who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to his nation.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Worley; his children, Russell Worley of Andalusia, Kelley Henley of Opp, and Kimberly (David) Williams; his grandchildren, Katelyn Dewrell (Jhase Riley), Kaden Jeffery, Bailey Johnson, Keagan Compton, and Scoot Mock; and his great-grandchildren, Rowan Riley, Serenity Mock, Maverick Mock, Kailyn Compton, and Ezra Compton.

He was preceded in death by his son, William Darnell Dewrell; his parents, Willie P. and Ella Glenda Dewrell; his brothers, Harold and Johnny Dewrell; and his sister, Annie Ruth Richie.
