ACCC recognizes 67 LBW student-athletes on spring academic honor roll

- LBW Community College was represented on the Alabama Community College Conference's Commissioner's Honor Roll with 67 student-athletes and five teams on the Spring 2025 honor roll.

The Alabama Community College Conference recently announced its Spring 2025 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll with 67 LBW Saints represented on the list.
Student-athletes received the honor by earning a 3.0 GPA or higher.
“LBW’s goal has and always will be to provide student-athletes the resources they need to succeed in their respective sport but most importantly in the classroom,” LBWCC President Dr. Brock Kelley said. “To make the Commissioner’s List speaks volumes of the sacrifice each athlete gives to their education and sport, and we are pleased to have as many athletes represented on the list. We look forward to their continued success in the classroom.”
Baseball was the most-represented sport on the list with 19 Saints honored by the ACCC. Those student-athletes are Brooks Brasfield, Logan Brewer, Hollon Brock, Brock Cantrell, Streed Crooms, Jake Devalk, Connor Fadalla, Brock Herring, Jake Hornsby, Drew Hurst, Chase Moller, Eduardo Morel, Tate Morris, Ben Moseley, Jordan Parks, Cooper Rogers, Evan Sorrells, Will Thomas, and Ryan Yaroshuk.
Softball had 14 representatives named to the list. Those student-athletes recognized are Brooklyn Barlow, Alex Carroll, Kambrie Doss, Kiley Duncan, Abigail Gard, LaceyRae Goddin, Elizabeth Hancock, Carlie Hopps, Lexi Key, Emma Poore, Taylor Price, Chloe Ragsdale, Braelynn Whitfield, and Chloe Yates.
Volleyball also had 14 representatives named to the list. Those student-athletes are Elizabeth Bean, Gabby Bellamy, Salome De-Jesus, Addi Dunagan, Emma Helms, Kaliah Jones, Ashland Kelley, Gwen Nguyen, Molly Powell, Reece Smith, Karis Snell, Ashlyn Watson, Cuba Wiggins, and Janae Wimbley.
LBW had eight basketball athletes named to the list, which included six on the women’s team and two on the men’s team. Those selected are Charity Fountain, Tessia Garrett-Hammett, Ameyah Gray, Kiona Lindsay, Karma Rhodes, and Maurissia Walker for the women and DaCoda Johnson and Jonathan Point Du Jour for the men.
The Saints men’s golf team had seven representatives selected. Those are Jackson Bailey, Aiden Braddy, Alex Broadaway, Grayson Lozano, Nicklaus Meyer, Sean Purvee, and Jackson Scott.
Jackson Bailey and Ayden Braddy were recognized in men’s golf. Claire McReynolds was also honored on the list in women’s cross country.
LBW had a total of five cross country athletes selected. Those are Reagan Bartholomew, Hadyn Owens, and Madison Webb on the women’s side and Vance Kelley and Barry Owens on the men’s side.
In addition, five LBW teams were recognized on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll for earning a 3.0 GPA or higher for the 2024-25 academic year. Those teams are baseball, men’s golf, women’s cross country, softball, and volleyball.
“These student-athletes and teams should be extremely proud of themselves as they have balanced academics with practice and games. I am very proud of them along with the faculty and staff at our amazing colleges for the work they do in preparing our student-athletes for life outside of athletics,” said ACCC Commissioner Dean Myrick.
