JC Sanders, a lifelong resident of Andalusia and owner of Sanders Jewelry, has qualified to run for the Andalusia City Council representing District 4.

With deep roots in the community and a strong background in small business, Sanders enters the race with a vision of thoughtful progress, fiscal responsibility, and a renewed focus on local issues.

“As a business owner, father, and lifelong resident, I understand both the challenges and the incredible potential of our city,” said Sanders. “District 4 represents a large area of the city and a diverse population. Each person here deserves a representative ready to listen, learn, and advocate on his or her behalf. I’m ready to bring practical leadership and a fresh perspective to city government.”

Sanders is well known in the community as the second-generation owner of Sanders Jewelry, a family-owned business that has served Andalusia since 1998.

After graduating from Auburn University in 2016, he returned home to lead the family business into a new era of ownership and development, combining traditional values with innovative growth. Under his leadership, Sanders Jewelry has expanded operations, moved into a new standalone location, and been voted “Best Jewelry Store” three years in a row by the community.

He is married to Sydney Sanders, a lifelong resident and active member of the community. Together, they raise their two children and prepare the next generation of Andalusia residents.

His campaign for District 4 is built on three key pillars:

• Encouraging Public Input: Advocating for greater transparency in tax dollars and local resource allocation, and creating more opportunities for residents to engage, stay informed, and address their concerns.
• Supporting Local Businesses and Contractors: Prioritizing using local contractors and businesses for city projects to keep tax dollars in the community and strengthen the local economy.
• Responsible Spending: Promoting careful budgeting and strategic planning to ensure city funds are used efficiently, focusing on core services that matter most to residents.
