PowerSouth Energy Cooperative announces the following organizational changes and promotions.
Ginny Grimes has been named Manager of Compliance Services. Ginny began her career at PowerSouth as an attorney in 2013 and most recently served as Compliance Audit Supervisor. In her new role, Ginny continues to lead the cooperative’s internal regulatory audit and compliance initiatives while also taking on the responsibility of securing and managing PowerSouth’s insurance program and coverages.
Jennifer Kelley has been named Manager of Human Resources. Jennifer began her career at PowerSouth in 2006 and most recently served as Human Resources Supervisor. As Human Resources Manager, Jennifer oversees the direction and operation of the department to include employee benefits, recruitment, compliance, employee training, compensation, and union matters.
Dustin Kilcrease has been named Manager of Environmental Services. Dustin began his career at PowerSouth as an engineer in 2015 and most recently served as Environmental Engineering Supervisor. As Manager of the Environmental Services Department, Dustin oversees the Department’s direction and operation, promotes collaboration on key environmental projects, and continues to strengthen PowerSouth’s compliance with environmental rules and regulations.
George Patterson has been named Manager of Member Services. George began his career at PowerSouth in 2016 and most recently served as Supervisor of Bulk Power Services. As Manager of Member Services, George is responsible for programs and services that focus on member satisfaction and loyalty, optimizing retail energy sales, providing maximum energy efficiency for retail consumers and supporting demand-side resources. George will also lead the efforts of consumer market research, wholesale and retail rate design and competitive pricing research, as well as key account support, end-user product and service support, and regional, national, and local brand support.
Colton Sims has been named Manager of T&D Technical Services. Colton began his career at PowerSouth as an engineer in 2015 and most recently served as T&D Technical Services Superintendent. As T&D Technical Services Manager, Colton’s responsibilities include managing Technical Services Engineering, whose duties include System Protection, Metering, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) applications. Colton also manages Technical Services O&M personnel who are responsible for all operations and maintenance associated with System Protection, Metering, and SCADA.
Jamie Waite has been named Manager of the newly formed Power Production Services Department, a move that aligns with PowerSouth’s vision of organizing common functions at each generating site into a single structure. Jamie is responsible for safety, training, budgeting, financial planning, outage planning, spare parts management, facilities management, and human resources and bargaining unit coordination across the PowerSouth generation fleet. Jamie has more than 20 years of service at PowerSouth, most recently serving as Plant Services Superintendent at the Lowman Energy Center in Leroy, Ala.
PowerSouth is a generation and transmission cooperative that serves the wholesale energy needs of 16 electric cooperatives and four municipal electric systems in Alabama and northwest Florida. Collectively, the members provide electric service to homes, businesses and industries in 39 Alabama and 10 Florida counties.
