The Andalusia Star-News’ 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards is ready to enter a new and exciting stage — the voting round.

The Star-News kicked off its annual Readers’ Choice Awards almost four weeks ago, allowing readers to submit their nominations across multiple categories.

The nomination round concluded Friday, July 25, at 5 p.m.

The Readers’ Choice Awards recognize the very best that Covington County has to offer by recognizing local businesses and other organizations.

With the nomination round over, the top three nominees from each category will move into the voting phase to determine this year’s Readers’ Choice Award winners, which will be announced in September.

The voting round will begin Friday, August 1 and end Monday, August 25. Winners will be announced online and in the 2025 Readers’ Choice Winners print edition in September.

Similar to the nomination round, readers may go to the Contests page on andalusiastarnews.com to cast votes among this year’s top nominees.

Voting is permitted once per day with a valid email address.

Once on the Contests link through andalusiastarnews.com, readers can access the ballot online and begin voting. The initial vote will require a name and email address as voting is limited to once per day. If a valid email address was used in the nomination round, that same account may be used in the voting round without having to create an additional account.
