MYRA LAMBERT FALIN

Myra Lambert Falin, 72, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Andalusia, died Sun., Nov. 6, 2011 in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital.

She was a graduate of Pleasant Home School and a loyal and devoted nurse, having retired from Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., today, Wed., Nov. 9, at the Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Wilkinson officiating, and burial following in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Foreman Funeral is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her brothers and sister-in-law, D. C. and Lil Lambert and Jerry Lambert of Andalusia; her nephew, Wade Lambert, and his wife, Beverly; and niece, Bridgett Brannon, and her husband, Ben, all of Andalusia; several great-nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Dennis and Pat Garber of Pensacola, Fla.

Pallbearers will be Roy Wiggins, James Knowles, Jack Sansom, Mark Godwin, Patt Patteson and Jimmy Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church.

BRANDON HEATH WIGGINS

Brandon Heath Wiggins, 34, of Andalusia, passed away on Oct. 15. 2011.

He was a pecan buyer for Wiggins Pecan Co. in Opp.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wed., Oct. 19, at Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jay Driver and Rev. Wayne Sharp officiating. Burial followed at Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens with Wyatt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Grover and Frances Mooney and Raymond and Lucine Wiggins.

Survivors include his wife, Ashley Wiggins; sons, Cole and Caleb; one daughter, Harli; parents, Paul T. and Jean Wiggins; sister, Tammy (Jeff) Parker; and a brother, Tony Wiggins.

Pallbearers were Holt Parker, Justin Jackson, Todd Sasser, Zane Mack, Greg Jacobs and Cory Cooper.

 

RUTH HERBAL

Ruth Herbal, 88 of Arab, formerly of Andalusia, died Sun., Nov. 6, 2011, in the Golden Living Center in Arab.

She was born in Pennsylvania on Aug. 25, 1923, the daughter of Nicholas and Anna Schmidt. She was a homemaker, married to the late William J. Herbal, who preceded her in death May 29, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Christman.

She is survived by a son, Richard Herbal; and grandchildren, Jerrod Herbal and Jessica Herbal, all of Arab.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Fri., Nov. 11, in Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in the Rose Hill area of Dozier, with Doug Golden officiating and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel of Arab directing.

 

RUBY BROWN GARVIN

Ruby Brown Garvin, 81, of Andalusia, died Sat., Nov. 5, 2011, in a Dothan hospital.

Graveside services were held on Tues., Nov. 8, at Carolina Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing with the Rev. David Allred officiating.

Survivors include her husband, Van Garvin of Andalusia; her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Linda Garvin of Gulf Shores and Jerry and Kitty Garvin of Ellerslie, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Norma Garvin and Earl Allred of Kingston, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James Cogdill, Matt Garvin, Earl Allred, James Padgett, Johnny Brewer and Thomas Brewer.

AVIS LEE DAUPHIN

Avis Lee Dauphin, 87, of the Harmony Community, died Sun., Nov. 6, 2011, in the Opp hospital.

Funeral services were held on Tues., Nov. 8, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in New Home Cemetery in McKenzie with the Rev. Derwood Cleland and the Rev. Greg Cotter officiating.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Lavonne and Betty Dauphin of the Harmony Community and Dennis Dauphin of Andalusia; daughters and son-in-law, Linda Adkison of Andalusia and Betty and Farrel Wyatt of Gantt; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Greg Atkinson, Wayne Dauphin, Jesse Dauphin, Michael Dauphin, Johnny McCart and Donnie Maughon.
