Hyundai’s announcement earlier this week that it is adding a third shift to its Montgomery plant was good news for Alabama and good news for Andalusia.

Hyundai will add almost 900 jobs, but those jobs have a multiplier effect. Hyundai suppliers in the state – like Andalusia’s SaeHaeSung – also will add jobs to keep up with Hyundai’s increased demand for supplies. SaeHaeSung general manager Jin Heo said she expects to add 50 new jobs in Andalusia.

The success of both Hyundai and its suppliers is a testament to the Alabama workers who work in those plants. Their skills and dedication are the keys to Hyundai’s success and the popularity of its products built in Alabama.
