JOHN JOSEPH STETLER

John Joseph Stetler, 86, of Dozier, died Sat., Aug.25, 2012, in the Andalusia hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., today, Tues., Aug. 28, at Dozier Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Parker officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. Visitation with the family will be at the cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Edna May Stetler of Dozier; his sister, Lillian Fisher of Winthrop, N.Y.; two brothers-in-law, Alvin Merring Jr. of Madison, Ga., and Carl Rose of Leesburg, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Margaret Sobel of Stroudsburg, Penn.; special friends, David Johnson and Rich Patton; and several nieces and nephews

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Paul and Alice Stetler, and sister, Emma Ferrante.

EVELYN HERRING

Evelyn Herring, 86, of Andalusia, passed away Sat., Aug. 25, 2012, in a local hospital.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Mon., Aug. 27, at Adellum Baptist Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing and the Rev. Bobby Morgan, the Rev. Ed Ganus and the Rev. Billy Boles officiating.

Survivors include her sons, Lenton Morris Herring, Arlis Wayne Herring, Edward Earl Herring and James Randolph Herring; daughters, Janet Marie Carter and Joyce Harris; sister, Etta Moore Thompson; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Herring.

ELOUSIA KELLEY BICANEK

Elouisa Kelley Bicanek of California, formerly of Covington County, passed away on Fri., Aug. 17, 2012.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Mon., Aug. 27, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church with Keahey Funeral Home directing and the Rev. Fred Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include her son, George John (Teresa) Bicanek II of Lomita, Calif.; daughters, Joan Porter of California, Carol (Bill) Goodwin of Linwood, Kan., Nancy (Manny) Miyar of Miami and Linda (Randy) Bingle of Costa Mesa, Calif.; brothers, the Rev. Fred R. Kelley and George D. (Emma) Kelley, all of Andalusia, and James (Gail) Weaver of Alabama; sisters, Pat (A.G.) Palmore of Andalusia, Joyce White of Montana and Wynelle Bailey of Warner Robbins, Ga.; 11 grandchildren, Stephen (Sherry) Nichols, Tamara Kalachi, Gregory Kalachi, George John Bicanek III, Ashley Bicanek, Robin (Duane) Hicks, Stephanie (Dan) Marshall, Kelley (Tony) Waterman, Aaron (Selah) Bingle and Eric Bingle; and 12 great-grandchildren, Devon Nichols, Adam Nichols, Troy Nichols, Michelle Hicks, Wyatt Marshall, Cooper Marshall, Alex Heuer, Allyssa Heuer, Michael Heuer, Brianna Davis-Bingle and Olivia Waterman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George John Bicanek.
