Pleasant Home’s serving proved too much for Florala Tuesday night.

The Lady Eagles beat the Lady Wildcats 3-0 in area volleyball action to get off to a good start this season.

PHS coach Jerry Davis said serving was the difference in the match.

“We served the ball well today,” Davis said. “We had some good times and bad times.”

PHS won the match 25-16, 25-10, 25-17.

Additionally, PHS’ junior varsity squad won its match 2-0 (25-17, 25-13).

Attempts to reach FHS coach Joea McNeil were unsuccessful by press time Tuesday night.

The Lady Eagles travel to face Elba tomorrow.
