Straughn seniors Mason Farley (knee) and Dillan Connor (jaw) had successful surgeries yesterday, Tigers head football coach Trent Taylor said.

Farley injured his knee during Straughn’s first game against Andalusia, and Connor broke his jaw in the third quarter on a legal block, the coach said.

Taylor said doctors say both will make a full recovery. Farley will miss the rest of the season and Connor will miss only two weeks.

The coach said he admired Connor’s willingness to play after his jaw broke.

“The kid played two more quarters of football,” Taylor said.
