WARREN DOUGLAS KIRKLAND

Kirkland, Warren Douglas, 67, a resident of Prattville, died on Fri., Sept. 14, 2012.

Services will be held today, Tues., Sept. 18, from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Tommy Roy officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Kirkland was a former resident of Opp, where he owned and operated Kirkland Appliance. He was a Vietnam veteran and an active member of First Baptist Church of Posey’s Crossroads.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Sintel Kirkland, and a sister, Glenda Kirkland Carroll.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Kirkland; four sons, Monty Kirkland, David Kirkland, Tony (Flilica) Kirkland and Michael Hancock; one daughter, Alisha (Richard) Sample; one sister, Faye Kirkland Pilot; nine grandchildren, Christian, Richie, Hayley, Noah, Anthony, Davis, Jamison, Justin and Brennan; four nieces; four nephews; and an extended family.

Pallbearers will be Monty Kirkland, Richie Poyner, David Kirkland, Tony Kirkland, Michael Hancock and A.K. Kirschner.  Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.

NORMA FLINN

Norma Flinn, 49, of Andalusia, died Sat., Sept. 15, 2012 in Atmore.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Wed., Sept. 19, at the Adellum Baptist Church. The family will visit with friends prior to and following the service at the church.

Survivors include her sons, Jonathan Warren Flinn of Bibb County and Joshua Thomas Flinn and Jeremy Adam Flinn of Andalusia; nine grandchildren; her sister, Shelia Richards of Andalusia; and niece, Sonya Thompson.

MARY ANN NEWELL

Mary Ann Newell, 63, of Semmes, formerly of Andalusia, died Fri., Sept. 14, 2012, in a Mobile hospital.

Funeral services were held Mon., Sept. 17, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include her fiancé, Darrell Bosarge of Grand Bay; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and George Ainsworth of Gantt and Dorothy and William Missilidine of Andalusia; and many nieces and nephews.
