A benefit has been set up for a Loango woman injured in a car accident on Nov. 27, her mother said Tuesday.

Melissa B. Bullard, 39, suffered three fractures to her back, several fractured ribs and a fractured sternum and a concussion, Angie Anderson said.

Anderson said her daughter was ejected from the vehicle during the wreck on Ard Creek Road.

“We’ve set up a benefit account for her at Wells Fargo under her name,” she said. “She’s out of the hospital, but she’s in a back brace and can only walk to go to the bathroom.”

Anderson said the account has been set up to help pay for costs for travel and other medical bills associated with trips to Columbus, Ga., and Auburn for follow up treatment.

Anderson said the recovery is expected to take 12 weeks without surgery, but it’s still unclear whether surgery will be needed.

“We thank God that she’s alive,” Anderson said.
