PAUL LEE COOK

Paul Lee Cook, 66, of McGraws, W. Va., passed away on Fri., Nov. 30, 2012, at his home.

He was born Aug. 14, 1946, in Hensley, W. Va., the son of the late Rev. Loran A. and Elsie Mckenzie Cook. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betty A. Riggs and Emma Jean Hughes; and a brother, Benny R. Cook.

He was a loving husband and father and a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church for more than 20 years.

Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Shirley E. Albright Cook; three children, Loretta (Jonathan) Grantham, Paula Jane (Joe) Day and Donald Lee Cook, all of Andalusia; five sisters, Margaret Cregger of Ghent, W. Va., Vera J. West of Columbus, Ohio, Lorna (Steve) Dillion of Houston, Texas, Magel (Darrell) Stapelton of Matheny, W. Va., and Shirley (Patrick) Madden of Daniels, W. Va.; four brothers, Robert

Cook of Premier, W. Va., John (Patricia) Cook of Pineville, W. Va., Jerry (Lola) Cook of Welch and Willard Cook of Mena, Ark.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Fri., Dec. 7, in Pine Grove Baptist Church, Ravencliff, W. Va., with the Rev. Dwayne Hurd and the Rev. Darrell Stapelton officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Ravencliff, W. Va. Friends may gather with the family on Thurs., Dec. 6, from 6-9 p.m., at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

HAZEL PEACOCK ALDERMAN

Hazel Peacock Alderman, 89, of Montgomery, formerly of the Pleasant Home Community, passed away Sun., Dec. 2, 2012, in a Tuscaloosa hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., today, Tues., Dec. 4, at the Pleasant Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Kelley officiating, and interment following in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Survivors include her son, Robert D. “Bob” Alderman of Tuscaloosa, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Alderman.

WILLIAM MORGAN

William Morgan, 56, of Red Level, passed away Fri., Nov. 30, 2012, in the Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Mon., Dec. 3, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Stone Lake Gardens.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lisa Ziglar of Red Level; two daughters and son-in-law, Melissa and J.D. Payne of Anniston and Nancy McCormick of Anniston; father, Burl Morgan of Shelby County; brother, Thomas Reed Morgan of Calera; sisters, Vesta Theresa Thomas and Cynthia Diane Morgan; and grandchildren, Tyler and Matthew Ziglar, Anna Payne, David, Jacob and Madyson McCormick.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Louise Morgan.

Serving as pallbearers were Donnie Ziglar, Don McCormick, Tyler Ziglar, Matthew Aughtman, Tommy Odom and Greg English.
