Straughn’s boys varsity basketball team apparently isn’t going to slow down anytime soon.

The Tigers defeated Kinston 81-40 tonight in a game where four players finished in double figures.

SHS held a 49-23 lead at halftime.

Straughn’s Brice Scott led the Tigers with 15 points and eight rebounds; JD Driver had 13 points and eight assists; and Nick Stepp and Hobie Hughes put up 13 points each.

In B-team action, the Tigers won 49-22.

Tucker Lawless had 11 points to lead SHS.

Straughn’s back in action at home against Pleasant Home tomorrow night.
