Approximately 40 people have signed up ahead of time to participate in the Cat Scat 5K Walk/Run tomorrow morning at Lake Jackson State Park, cheer sponsor Joy Colvin said.

“It’s the first one that we’re trying to do,” Colvin said.

Colvin said the Cat Scat 5K is an official 5K race, and help has been given from Aligator Trot organizer Karen Johnson.

The walk/run is a fundraiser to help pay for Florala High Cheerleader uniforms and in the long run, to help the team go to competition.

Registration cost is $25, and it begins at 8:30 a.m.

For more info on the 5K, call Colvin or Melissa White at 334-858-3765.
