VIRGIL EUGENE PAYNE

Virgil Eugene Payne, 73, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., Jan. 13, 2013, at his residence.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m., today, Tues., Jan. 22, at the River Falls Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Douglass officiating. The family will meet with friends before and after the service at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Payne of Andalusia; his sons and daughter-in-law, Geoffrey Eugene Payne, John Allen and Stella Payne and Samuel Payne; his daughters, Dawn Marie Rosenberg, Tamela Sue (Curtis) Smith, Amy Joanne Payne and Amy Michele Payne; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Dwight Lemarr and Claudia Payne of Eaton Rapids, Mich.

He was preceded in death by grandson, John “Chippy” Payne Jr.

MARGARET G. PROCTOR

Margaret G. Proctor, 93, of Andalusia, passed away Saturday morning on Jan. 19, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 20, at the First United Methodist Church in Andalusia with the Rev. Jim Carpenter and the Rev. Tim Trent officiating, and interment following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Special music was provided by Louisa Baker.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ann Proctor and Greg Fuller of Montgomery.

ANNIE EARL VEASEY

Annie Earl Veasey, 77, of Gantt, passed away Jan. 17, 2013, at the Andalusia Regional Hospital.

Funeral services were held Sat., Jan. 19, 2013, at Foreman Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Morgan officiating and burial following in Veasey Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Owens of Dozier; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert Gene Sorrells of Gantt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Veasey, and her daughters, Linda Veasey, Gail Kelley and Jodie Veasey.
