Pleasant Home dropped to No. 5 in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association softball poll, which was released today.

The Lady Eagles fell 5-0 to Geneva on Tuesday night.

In earlier action, PHS beat Kinston 5-4 in pool play of its tournament over the weekend. PHS lost 4-2 to Brantley, and lost 7-5 to Straughn in bracket play.

The Lady Eagles are now 13-13 on the season.

Opp is still at No. 9 after defeating Straughn 7-4 on Tuesday night. The Lady Bobcats (24-6) also won Pleasant Home’s tournament over the weekend.

Both teams will travel to play in Elba’s softball tournament this weekend
