Opp Councilwoman Mary Brundidge expressed her concern at Monday’s council workshop with ballgames being played in the rain in the past few weeks.

Brundidge requested that Opp Mayor John Bartholomew attend some ballgames.

“I want you to come to parks and rec during a ball game,” she said. “You need to be out there so you can see what’s going on.”

Bartholomew instructed Brundidge to call him and let him know when to come out there.

After Monday night’s meeting, Brundidge declined to comment on what exactly is going on, but invited members of the media to come to the ball field to see.
