0508-CoppeliaLaura de Guia Villalobos will dance the lead female role in the Andalusia Ballet’s production of Coppelia, considered ballet’s great comedy. Coppelia tells the story of a mysterious life-sized doll (Ander Helms), a charming village maiden, Swanhilda (Villalobos), and a free-spirited young man, Franz (guest artist David DaRocio), who is in love with both.

Villalobos is an instructor for the Andalusia Ballet. She previously has performed with companies across the country, including Nevada Ballet Theatre, Northern Plains Ballet, Inland Pacific Ballet, Ballet Oklahoma, Kentucky Ballet Theatre and Montgomery Ballet. She has also been a principal guest artist with Collin County Ballet Theatre and the Dallas Opera.
