Mr. Carl Greil Chesser, 89, passed away in Gallatin, Tenn., on Thurs., May 23, 2013.

He was originally from Red Level.

Funeral services for Mr. Chesser are entrusted to Foreman Brown Service Funeral Home and arrangements will be announced at a later date.

 

RICHARD ‘RICKY’ LASSITER

Mr. Richard “Ricky” Lassiter, 61, of Andalusia, passed away Wed., May 22, 2013, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Mon., May 27, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rev. Billy Boles will officiate. Interment will follow in Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Sun., May 26, at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include wife, Teresa Lassiter of Andalusia; son, Randy (Keela) Russell of Andalusia; daughters, Hollie Holland of Birmingham, Hope (Craig) White of Birmingham, Sonya (Mike) Goodson of Andalusia, and Dawn (Casey) Ray of Andalusia; brothers, John (Barbara) Lassiter of Crossville, Jimmy (Debbie) Lassiter of Indiana, and Raymond (Patricia) Lassiter of Andalusia; sister, Kathy (Ricky) Wallace of Andalusia; and 11 grandchildren.

BERNARD GRIMES

Mr. Bernard Grimes, 81, of Rosehill, passed away Mon., May 20, 2013, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Fri., May 24, at Good News Chapel with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

The Rev. Jay Driver and the Rev. Jeff Grimes will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

Special music will be provided by Jessica Walker and Ronnie Driver.

Survivors include wife, Mary Ann Grimes of Rosehill; son, Bernard Lee (Ann) Grimes of Wetumpka; daughters, Cynde (Rich) Dessecker of Weatherford, Texas, Beth (George) Spires of Barney, Ga., Jo Anna Straughn of Rosehill, Victoria Willhite of Rosehill and Candice Willhite of Rosehill; brother, Walter Thermon (Joyce) Grimes of Rosehill; sister, Dr. Jo Marshall of Somerset, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and five great Grandchildren.
