Martha Ralston, 77, of Andalusia, passed away Mon., Oct. 7, 2013, at her residence.

Memorial services will be held at 6, tonight, Wed., Oct. 9, at the family’s residence at 1028 Stanley Avenue with Keahey Funeral Home in charge of services. The Rev. Billy Boles will officiate.

Survivors include her son, Michael Howard Finck of Amarillo, Texas; daughters, Melinda Maeann Finck (Steve) Hobbs of Andalusia, Marcella Kay (Clifford) Brehmer of Oklahoma and Karen Michelle (Jody) Byas of Andalusia; brother, Charles Harbison of Mesquite, Texas; sister, Vera Mae Jones of San Diego; and grandchildren, Mena Elaine Cobb, Kayla Leigh Stephens, Brandon Stephens, Christopher Brehmer, Skyler J. Byas; and great-gGrandchildren, Peyton Andrews, Jacob Andrews, Monica Andrews, Cecilia Cobb, Ryan Davis Stephens and Richard Anthony Cobb.

JOE A. BAKER

Joe A. Baker, 80, of Red Level, passed away on Sat., Oct. 5, 2013, in the Evergreen hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., today, Wed., Oct. 9, at New Hope Baptist Church of Red Level with Keahey Funeral Home directing and the Rev. Keith Parker and the Rev. George Parrish officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Terry (Irene) Baker of Red Level, Aaron Bruce (Wanda) Baker of Electic and John (Teresa) Baker of Red Level; brother, Charles (Marylin) Baker of Montgomery; grandchildren, Joe Baker, Pam Baker, Joshua Baker, Erin Baker and Ky Baker; and great-grandchildren, Delana, Harley, David and Anna Belle.

Dean Humphries, 75, of Opp, passed away on Mon., Oct. 7, 2013, in the Opp hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thurs., Oct. 10, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bufford Smith officiating and interment following in Stone Lake Gardens with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be held tonight from 6-8 at the funeral home.

Roy E. Owens, 86, of Red Level, passed away on Tues., Oct. 8, 2013, at his residence.

Miles L. Hart Jr., age 78, passed away after a short illness on Sun., Oct. 6, 2013, surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Miles L. Hart Sr.; mother, Dannie Mae Hart; his beloved, Willie Mae Allen Jackson; and wife, Barbara.

Joseph R. Schneider Sr., 85, of Andalusia, born Aug. 30, 1928, in Coral Gables, Fla., passed away on Sat., Oct. 5, 2013, at his residence.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and graduate of St. Leo University Class of 1947. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Andalusia.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Schneider of Andalusia; his sons, Joe (Amy) Schneider and Tony Schneider; his daughters, Lucy Schneider, Mary Ann (Mike) Schneider; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thurs., Oct. 10, from 6-8 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Fri., Oct. 11, at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Tony Xavier officiating.

Survivors include her son, Joseph Malcolm (Becky) Suggs; daughter, Barbara (Harry) Melton, all of Crestview, Fla.; grandchildren, Chris (Summer) Driggers, Patrick (Andrea) Driggers, Jennifer (Jeff) Hammond, Julie (Brian) Odom, Hal Melton, Candice Melton and Michael (Shanna) Suggs; 10 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Joel (Skinner) Suggs; and sisters-in-law, Allie V. Rabren, Mary Harwell and Alice Grantham, all of Andalusia.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, James C. Suggs and Nathan L. Wiggins.

She worked as a church clerk at Calvary Baptist Church of Andalusia for more than 25 years.
