Opening on Thanksgiving Day is nothing new to Stephanie Rodgers, owner of Opp’s Body Conscious.

“We will be open from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.,” she said. “I’ve been doing this for about 15 years – more, really. By then, people have had all the family and food they can stand, and area ready to get out. The men go hunting and the women come here.”

The salon, spa and fitness center carries junior, missy and plus-size apparel, as well as shoes and accessories. The shoe lines are Yellow Box and Bamboo, including reasonably priced boots starting at $40, as well as some children’s shoes.

For those preparing to look their best for holiday events, Body Conscious has hair extensions for fullness or length.

“When most people think hair extensions, they think of long hair,” Rodgers said. “But we also have extensions for fullness.”

Rani Myers, aesthetician, offers a number of treatments to make weary holiday shoppers look and feel younger. She recently added a new bio peel, which is an enzyme and acid peel, and age smart facials. She also does microzone eye treatments, a quick, 20-minutes process that “makes you look 10 years younger.”

Gift certificates for all of their services and products are available, and as an added bonus, holiday gift certificates include coupons for other items.
