AES 3rd graders plan trips to Disney, Cali and Sunshine State

If summertime plans are any indication, students at Andalusia Elementary School know what it means to be prepared. As they waited for the final bell of the year to sound Thursday afternoon, some third-grade students told The Star-News their plans for a cool summer.

Hannah Solomon didn’t need to win the Super Bowl to utter the phrase all kids dream of.

“I’m going to Disney World,” she said. “It’s my first time. I’m going to ride Space Mountain.”

Elisha Stoudemire said his family was also headed to the Sunshine State.

“I’ll probably go to Florida again to the beach,” he said. “You know, to the hotel with the hot tub in it.”

Traeiyah Flowers said her travel plans will take her just a bit farther away.

“I’m going to California to shop,” she said, adding the trip will be her first time on an airplane. “Probably going up in the air and landing (will be my favorite).”

Courtlyn Knight said she was going to wrap up the beach and amusement parks in one trip.

“I’m going to my dad’s in Pensacola for a month,” she said. “I’m going to the beach and to Sam’s Fun City, and fishing too.”
