Pre-Majors tourney ends tonight

Ozark topped Opp 15-3 in five innings during the Dixie Pre-Majors District 6 Tournament Monday night at the Opp Sports Complex.

Ozark and Opp were tied 1-1 after the first inning, but the Eagles tacked on three runs in the second to take a lead they’d never give up.

The Eagles scored five runs each in the fourth and fifth innings.

Eli Johnson went 2-for-3 to lead Opp.

The Bobcats got off to a good start in the district tournament by dispatching of Goshen, 11-1 on Sunday, and defeating Slocomb, 13-3 on Saturday.
