Tickets still available for Ballet’s ‘Pink Diamond Benefit’

Tickets are still available for the Andalusia Ballet Association’s “Pink Diamond Benefit,” its annual auction, set for 7 p.m. this Sat., Aug. 23, at the Church Street Cultural Arts Centre.

Tickets to the 2015 Masters Golf Tournament; a one-week stay in a five-bedroom home in Destin; a Nick Saban-autographed football; and a Harbuck knife are among the items on the auction block this year.

Participants also can purchase a chance to win a 1.02 carat pink diamond. Organizers will have 100 glasses of pink champagne for $50 each. Ninety-nine will contain a 1.0 carat pink cubic zirconia. One will hold the diamond, being donated by Christopher’s Fine Jewelry.

The event is moving to the ballet’s home in the Church Street Cultural Art Centre this year, and will be catered by Simone’s.

Items to be auctioned include:

• Two (1 hour) private lessons, Meryane Murphy;

• Framed Robert Evers print;

• Sushi Boat from Samurai Japanese Steakhouse

• Spa Package from Utopia Salon and Spa

• Sunglasses from Dr. Josh Driver

• Your Christmas tree, professionally decorated with your decorations, by Blake Barton;

• Two box seat tickets for Troy vs. Duke game (includes food and beverages),  Larry Blakeney personalized and autographed football donated by Mr. and Mrs. Earl Johnson;

• Stock the Bar, donated by Gitty-Up-N-Go;

• One-week stay (Oct. 1-March 1), in 5 Palms Beach House, 5 BR/4BA in the heart of Destin , donated by Roy Mohon;

The benefit helps to support the art of dance in Covington County and surrounding areas. Tickets, which are $50 per person, and chances to win the diamond are available at Andalusia Ballet and Christopher’s Fine Jewelry.
