Mary Kate Bush

Mrs. Mary Kate Bush, age 87, of Andalusia, passed away in the comfort of her home in the early morning hours of Feb. 14, 2015.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tues., Feb. 17, from the First Baptist Church of Andalusia with Dr. Fred Karthaus officiating. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon at First Baptist Church. Foreman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements

She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Bush, and her children, Lynne Bush, Donna (Tommy) Taylor, Dr. Robert C. (Beverly) Bush, DVM, and Phil (Julie) Bush. Miss Kate is also survived by her six grandchildren, Tracy Gundy of Leander, Texas, Dave Buescher of Galvaston, Texas, Kyle Buescher of Anna, Texas, Rob Bush of Denver, Colo., Courtney Lynne Bush of Sydney, Australia, and Cole Bush of Andalusia; five great-grandchildren; and one sister and brother-in-law, Ruth an Freddie Bush of Eufaula.

Miss Kate was born to be a mother and wife. She dedicated her life to Christ and her family. She was also devoted to her church and community. In addition to being a school teacher for 17 years and a real estate agent for 20 years, she taught Sunday school at the First Baptist Church of Andalusia for 60 years. Miss Kate was a selfless and giving person who always put others ahead of herself up until her last breath. She will always be beloved and sorely missed by her family, friends and the many lives she touched.

Miss Kate was born in Clopton, Ala., near Abbeville, and was the daughter of Wood and Cullie Wynn Vickers. She attended Troy State Teachers College and moved to Andalusia in 1948 with her husband Robert to take a teaching position in Sanford.

Charles Everett Clough

Mr. Charles Everett Clough, age 78, of Andalusia passed away Sat., Feb. 14, 2015, at his residence.

Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced by Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include his sons Dereck Clough of Palatka, Fla., and John Clough of Palatka, Fla.; daughters, Valeria Thompson of Palatka, Fla., Beverly Waddell of Red Level, Cynthia Nicol of Interlachen, Fla., and Marcia Gall of Palatka, Fla.; a brother, Howard Clough of Interlachen, Fla.; a sister, Lenora Musgrave of Interlachen, Fla.; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

 

Sharon Lee Cox

Mrs. Sharon Lee Cox, age 49, of Opp, passed away Sun., Feb. 15, 2015.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later date.

Survivors include Robert F. Cox, Jr. of London, Ohio; her son, William Robert Taynor of Columbus, Ohio; daughters, Ashlee Friend of West Jefferson, Ohio, and Amber Taynor of Lancaster, Ohio; a brother, Robert F. Cox III; and a sister, Kimberly Elliott of Calloway, Ohio.

 

Billy Ray Beckworth

Mr. Billy Ray Beckworth, age 63, of Andalusia passed away Sat., Feb. 14, 2015, at his residence.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later date.

Survivors include his sons, Daniel ( Kayla ) Beckworth of Trussville and Johnny Ray Beckworth of Andalusia; daughters, Devin ( Jamie ) Moore of Thomasville and Pat (Jack) Finney of Athens; brothers, Jimmy Beckworth of Opp and Michael (Kathy) Beckworth of Opp; and grandchildren, Sawyer Beckworth, Jace Moore and Tyler Beckworth.

Mr. Beckworth was preceded in death by his mother, Katie Beckworth.
