Opp took game one 8-2 in what was supposed to be a doubleheader against the Straughn Tigers on Friday afternoon, but rain cut the second game short with the Tigers leading 5-0.

Johnson finished the game with with two hits, one RBI and three runs scored.

Walker Messer went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Britt Buckelew was the winning pitcher, and improved his record to 4-1 on the season.

In game two, the Tigers had taken a 5-0 lead with four runs scored in the top of the fourth.

Rain began to fall heavily, and the second game was cancelled just shy of the five innings needed for an official game.

Since it wasn’t an area contest, the game is not scheduled to be made up.
