Round one of the AHSAA state playoffs begins today, and several local teams will begin their quest for the blue map.

 

The Class 1A Red Level Tigers are the only team that will be hosting a first round best-of-three series. RLHS will face off with Georgiana today with the first game slated for 4 p.m., with game two beginning around 6 p.m. A third game is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m., if necessary.

 

In other Class 1A action, Pleasant Home will travel to J.U. Blacksher with game one set for 2 p.m. and game two at 4 p.m. Game three will be Saturday at 1 p.m., if necessary.

 

1A Florala will travel to Millry today with game one scheduled for 3 p.m., and game two scheduled at 5 p.m. Game three will be Saturday at 4 p.m., if necessary.

 

In Class 3A, the Opp Bobcats will travel to Bayside Academy with game one set for 4 p.m., and game two at 6 p.m. If necessary, game three will be played Saturday at noon.

 

The Class 4A Straughn Tigers will travel to UMS-Wright today with game one set for 4 p.m., and game two scheduled for 6 p.m. A third game is scheduled for Saturday at noon, if necessary.

 

If any games are postponed due to weather, they will move games back to Saturday and Monday.
