Tessa Walker has been outstanding in the pitching circle for the Lady Bulldogs this season.

Andalusia dropped two games Thursday in Elba’s Tune Up tournament losing 2-1 to Pike County, and falling 11-0 to Wicksburg.

The Lady Bulldogs got a strong three innings from Tessa Walker, who didn’t allow Pike County to get a hit during her stint in the pitching circle.

AHS took the lead in the top of the third inning after Aaliyah Lawrence reached on an error then stole second.

Emily Terry drove in Lawrence with a line drive single to give the Lady Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.

Alaina Nettles came in game in relief for Walker in the bottom of the fourth. Nettles got the first batter she faced to fly out to center, but she wasn’t able to record another out.

The next batter walked, and then an error allowed the winning run to reach base.

Two batters later, Pike County drove in both runs to win the time shortened contest.

Game two against Wicksburg was a bit more of a challenge for the Lady Bulldogs, and the hard-hitting Lady Panthers took control early and never let up.

The Lady Panthers got three runs in the first inning, two runs in the second inning, one run in the third inning and five runs in the fourth inning to drop the Lady Bulldogs 11-0 in four innings.

Millie Manring and Terry were the only two Lady Bulldogs to collect a hit in the second game. Manring had a single, and Terry had a double.
