BILLY JOE IVEY

Mr. Billy Joe Ivey, 74, of Opp, passed away on Fri., April 24, 2015, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Fri., May 1, 2015, at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel. The family will meet with friends prior to and after the service.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Ivey of Opp; his daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Tony Leddon of Andalusia, and Donna Michelle and Al Chickosky of Enterprise; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Leslie Ivey of Red Level; a stepdaughter, Diane Carden of Clute, Texas; a step son, Russell Carden of Angleton, Texas; his grandchildren, Ethan Gobea, Robbie Noland, Brandon Whatley, Kip Whatley, Summer Ivey, Rebecca Freeman, Jordan Freeman, Miles Freeman, Devin Freeman, David Carden and Phillip Carden; several great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bobby Ivey of Red Level, Ferrell Ivey of Prattville, Phillip Ivey of Arkansas and Buck Ivey of Mobile; and two sisters, Sara Grice of Andalusia and Margie Carnley of Arizona.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Jess Ivey; and his parents, Jesse and Anna Ivey.

BYRDIE T. BEATY

On April 25, 2015, at Twin Cities Pavilion in Niceville, Fla., Byrdie T. Beaty, 95, the daughter of Oscar Hunter and Alma Vaughn Thompson, born Jan. 12, 1920 in Covington County, passed.

Byrdie was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Zada Solano and Blonie Niolon; her brother-in-law, Hill Mock; and her former husband, William Beaty.

She is survived by her son, Donald Beaty (Cathy) of Shalimar, Fla.; her granddaughter, Megan Beaty (Josh Francisco); great-grandson, Phoenix of Gettysburg, Pa.; her sisters, Shirley Mock of Foley and Bernice (George) Waddell of Biloxi, Miss; along with loving nephews, nieces and extended family members.

Byrdie lived a long life, with loving compassion to family, friends and all things green. She was an avid gardener and she cherished family gatherings, always contributing to the warmth.

Services are entrusted to Keahey Funeral Home of Lockhart. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wed., April 29, 2015, with graveside services at North Creek Cemetery in Florala. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. today in the Keahey Funeral Home of Lockhart chapel.

LOVECE MIZELL

Ms. Lovece Mizell, 86, of Andalusia, passed away on Sun., April 26, 2015, at Andalusia Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wed., April 29, 2015, in the Keahey Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. John Hunt will be officiating. Interment will follow in Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Sheila Lovece and Robert E. Boyd of Andalusia; daughters, Margie Lee Scroggins of Sanford and Eunice Sherlene Acreman of Lucedale, Miss.; son and daughter-in-law, William Penn and Carolyn Mizell of Babbie; half-sisters, Shirley Faye Johnson of Enterprise, Florence Weaver of Andalusia and Josephine Thomas of Enterprise; half-brother, George Ainsworth of Andalusia; grandchildren, Sherry Lynn (Mike) King, Kathy Watson, William L. (Chelsea) Hester, William D. Douglas, Jeanie Odom, Stacey, Charlie Ray, Joseph Goodman, Amanda Charlton and Shane and T.J. (Heather) Scroggins; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and three expecting.

Ms. Mizell was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Rachel Ainsworth; a son, Laurence Mizell; husband, Melvin Mizell; sisters, Katherine Henagan and Mettiree Ainsworth; brothers, Clayton, Lane, Gilbert, Alton, Wilson, Frank and Uriah Ainsworth; half-brothers, Eddie, Robert and J.C. Ainsworth; son-in-law, Tommy Scroggins; granddaughter, Jessica Scroggins; and great-grandsons, Eric and Justin Mims.

Pallbearers will be William L. Hester (Buddy), Charlie R. Goodman, T.J. Scroggins, Shane Scroggins, Stacey Goodman and Ron Scroggins.

Honorary pallbearers are Doug Scroggins and Dalton Charlton.

JERRY HAROLD REEVES

Mr. Jerry Harold Reeves, 70, of Andalusia, passed away on Fri., April 24, 2015, at his residence.

Funeral services were held on Sun., April 26, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers John Eiland and Billy Boles, who served as officiants.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Amy Reeves of Andalusia, and Shane and Connie Reeves of Pace, Fla.; his grandchildren, Dalton, Nathan and Brock Reeves; two sisters, Elaine Lucas and Joann Northcutt; two brothers and sisters-in-law, J.R. and Yvonne Reeves, and Roger and Elaine Reeves; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tawanna Lou Reeves; his parents, Harold and Olene Reeves; two brothers, T. L. Reeves and Lister Reeves; and brother-in-law, Dwight Lucas.

CECIL LARRY DAY

Mr. Cecil Larry Day, 63, of Andalusia, passed away on Sun., April 26, 2015, at his residence.

Graveside services were held on Tues., April 28, at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Brother Michael McVay officiating.

He is survived by his father, Cecil Day of Andalusia; two sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Laine Henderson of Montgomery, and Tammi and Royce Bass of Andalusia; a brother and sister-in-law, George A. and Joyce Day of Andalusia; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Sibyl Bass Day.

Pallbearers will be Tim Day, Chris Day, Larry Vann, Bryan Bass, Royce Bass and Tyler Wingard.
