Cottage food law course set Tuesday

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System will hold an Alabama Cottage Food Law Food Safety Training Course for anyone who makes and sells food from their home. This course will explain the Cottage Food Law requirements, what can and can’t be sold, and to whom it can be sold. The Alabama Cooperative Extension Service course was developed specifically for cottage food operations.

The training will be held Tues., Oct. 6, at the Covington County Extension Office located at 23952 Alabama Hwy 55 in Andalusia. The training will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. To register or for more information, contact Bridgette Brannon at 334-714 -1248. The cost of the course is $25.
