The Opp Lady Bobcats  dropped Zion Chapel 16-6 Tuesday in Zion Chapel.

Ariyon Hightower continued her impressive season with a three-run bomb with two outs in the third inning.

It was Hightower’s third home run of the season for the Lady Bobcats.

Bailey Boyd had a big game on the base paths, as she scored four runs on three hits.

Hanna Wismer drove in three runs with on two hits and Grace Ann Spear scored three runs.

In the pitcher’s circle, Gracie Kidd went all five innings to pick up the win. Kidd struck out four batters and scattered eight hits.

“We are very proud of Gracie,” Lady Bobcats’ head coach Jimmy Reeves said. “She had a rocky start but settled in and threw a good game. Our hitters did a good job with some timely hits… We had 10 days off so I guess we can’t complain too much about a little rustiness, but we better get things going quick because some big games are coming.”

One of those big games will be Thursday in Opp when the Lady Bobcats host Class 1A, Area 2 rival T.R. Miller.
