This year’s Covington County Relay for Life came in $10,000 under its $100,000 goal, officials said Monday.

Randi Bozeman, RFL publications and team ambassador said the 19 teams raised $90,000 for the American Cancer Society.

“I believe it went very well,” she said. “We had a good turnout and it was a lot of fun. We ended up having around 15 teams participate.”

Bozeman said that the City of Andalusia was the top team, raising $13,000. Covington Electric Cooperative raised $10,711.99 and PowerSouth raised $10,505.99.
