Monday morning, Covington County Sheriff’s Deputies received a call that a vehicle traveling on Hwy. 29 North was driving crazily.

Officers were able to locate the vehicle as it was stopped just south of Gantt.

Officers made contact with a white female identified as Stephanie Rolling.

Drug Task Force Agent Greg Jackson said during discussion with Rolling, she allegedly admitted to offers that she was under the influence of synthetic marijuana.

DTF agents were called to the scene and when they arrived, a consensual search of the vehicle revealed an amount of synthetic marijuana.

Synthetic marijuana is a controlled substance in the state of Alabama.

Rolling was arrested for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and placed in the Covington County jail under a $13,000 bond.

“Synthetic marijuana is becoming a large problem in Covington County,” Jackson said. “If you know someone who is using or selling synthetic marijuana, please contact us at 222-3532.”
