LBW Community College President Dr. Herb Riedel recently announced the selection of Peige Josey as Dean of Administrative Services and Director of the Greenville Campus.

Josey has worked in the LBWCC human resources office for 14 years, including 10 years as director, and most recently served three years as interim director of human resources with the Alabama Community College System.

At the System level, she gained experience in providing administrative leadership for a multifaceted, major functional area stretching across the entire community college system.

“She was also called on to serve on a team that performed institutional reviews across the System, which reviewed policies, processes, and conditions in order to make recommendations, then led the college in the implementation process,” said Riedel.

“This valuable experience gave her first-hand knowledge of facilities’ ADA compliance, infrastructure and physical plant matters, business office and financial procedures, workforce development, grant-funded programmatic and procedural concerns, and legal ramifications across multiple areas of a college.”

In her new role, Josey will provide college-wide administrative leadership in human resources and in facilities and maintenance. Her duties will also include supervision of the day-to-day activities for the Greenville campus, providing long-range planning objectives, and building positive community relations with businesses and industries in the Greenville area.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to serve LBWCC in this role and to work alongside the dedicated faculty and staff who serve our students and our communities,” said Josey. “I look forward to working with the rest of our team to ensure we meet LBWCC’s priority of student success and to providing support for additional areas of the College.”

Josey earned an associate in arts degree from LBWCC, a bachelor of business administration degree from Faulkner University, a master of business administration degree from Troy University, and additional graduate coursework in geography.

In addition to administrative experience, she has served as an adjunct faculty member in business and geography at Faulkner University, Central Alabama Community College, and LBWCC.
