On Friday, the Bobcats football team wrapped up their spring practice with an intra-squad scrimmage at Channel-Lee Stadium.

Most of the scrimmage featured the first-string offense against the second-string defense and then the first-string defense against the second-string offense.

The scrimmage gave Bobcat coaches the chance to see younger players who will become contributors in the fall.

It also gave a chance to see which areas the Bobcats need improvement over before the season begins.

“I thought the energy was up, and the attitude for success was ideal,” said Bobcats coach Brent Hill following the team’s scrimmage.

Hill also added, “We’ve got to improve on execution but I saw a huge improvement from where we started.”

Hill also mentioned the leadership shown by the upcoming senior class.

“Our seniors have done a great job of leading thus far,” he said. “I look forward to seeing how we build on this in the summer.”

The Bobcats will take two weeks off before heading into summer workouts in preparation for the fall season.
