Sean of the South coming to LBWCC

Sean Dietrich, who is known for the inspirational “Sean of the South” writing he shares daily online, will speak on the Andalusia campus of LBW Community College at 11 a.m. on Mon., Sept. 11, in the Solon and Martha Dixon Theater for the Performing Arts.

The event is free and open to the public, with books available for purchase for $10-$13 each.

Dietrich, who also has published seven books, will be joined by his band for a Bethesda House fundraiser Monday night. He and The Boiled Peanut Vendors will perform on the grounds of Springdale Estate at 6:30 p.m.

The second event is a fundraiser to further the effort to reopen Bethesda House, Covington County’s domestic violence shelter.

The event will feature barbecue from Hilltop and cookies designed and baked by Ellen Foreman of Just Simply Gigi. Dress will be casual.
