Pair arrested for break-ins in Opp

Two people have been arrested in conjunction with vehicle break-ins on Over Look Drive and the surrounding areas during the month of May.

Opp Police Chief Mike McDonald said that stolen credit cards were used at numerous businesses both in Opp and Andalusia.

Following an investigation by the Opp Police Department Investigations Division, Kayla M. Wilson, 23-year-old female resident of Opp has been charged with two counts of fraudulent use of a debit/credit card, the unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, theft of property fourth degree.

McDonald said that Wilson was located in Ohio, where law enforcement officials took her into custody.

Wilson has been extradited from Ohio back to Alabama and her bond was set a $53,000.

Gary Lee Moore, 19, of Opp was also charged.

He is facing charges of two counts of fraudulent use of a debit/credit card, unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle and theft of property fourth degree.

Moore was taken into custody in Ohio and is currently awaiting extradition back to Alabama.
