LBW Community College will welcome Sean Dietrich, known for his writings as “Sean of the South,” on Monday. He will speak at 11 a.m. on Mon., Oct. 16, 2017, in the Dixon Center for the Performing Arts in Andalusia. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Dietrich, the author of seven books, loves to tell stories. In 2014, he decided to share his thoughts through “Sean of the South,” an online blog, writing each day his observations of ordinary people and his favorite things about southern living.

He will be available after each presentation to sign copies of his books. Books can be purchased at the events for $10-$13 each. For more information, email kwhite@lbwcc.edu.

All of that and a fundraiser, too

The event, a fundraiser to further the effort to reopen Bethesda House, Covington County’s domestic violence shelter, features Sean Dietrich and the Boiled Peanut Vendors.

The event will include barbecue form Hilltop and cookies designed and baked by Ellen Foreman of Just Simply Gigi. Dress will be casual.

All pre-sold tickets will be honored. Tickets also are available at CCB Community Bank and at SIB Bank in Opp and Andalusia.
