Andalusia squeezes past East Brewton 9-8

In action from the 11-12 year-old District 5 tournament,
the Andalusia All-Stars edged the East Brewton All-Stars 9-8, with the winning run scoring on a one-out walk in the top of the sixth inning.
In the first inning East Brewton grabbed the early lead, plating three runs, but Andalusia scored four in the bottom of the second to grab the 4-3 advantage.
After East Brewton scored one in the top of the third to tie the score, Andalusia countered with a single run in the bottom half to regain the lead at 5-4.
East Brewton tallied two runs while Andalusia scored a single run in the fourth and heading into the fifth the game was tied at 6-6.
East Brewton regained the lead of 7-6
with one run in the top of the fifth inning and increased the lead to 8-6
with a run in the top of the sixth.
Andalusia, however, pulled the game out of the fire in the bottom half, plating three.
Jeffry Etheridge led Andalusia with three hits, with Taylor Culbreth and Tom Wright adding two hits each. Brannon Bryan, James Hogg and Joe Kyzer added a hit each.
Tom Wright had two runs batted in for Andalusia.
James Freeman led East Brewton with three hits, with Justin Payne and Jake Smith adding two hits each and Aaron Nelson, Casey Butts and Dylan Pace adding a hit each.
