Post 80 wins tourney

Another tournament equaled another title for the Andalusia American Legion Post 80 junior division baseball team over the weekend.
The members of the Post 80 squad traveled to Foley for a tournament and came back tournament champs going undefeated at the tournament with a record of 4-0.
Post 80 ambushed Fairhope in the first game of the tournament outscoring them 24-4 in five innings for the win. Tyler Wilson had a huge game on offense scoring four runs in the victory. Neal Patterson and Andrew Harry each scored three runs in the game.
Also scoring runs for Post 80 in the lopsided win were Michael Couch, Luke Popwell, Andrew Bryan, Josh Dutton, Jacob McCollough, Robby Foreman, Justin Shiver, Chase Glisson and Trevor Mathews.
Mathews started the game on the mound for Post 80 and went the distance allowing four runs on four hits, two walks and one hit batter. He struck out two in the game.
Post 80's second game was much closer with Post 80 holding on for a 5-2 win over Daphne after a big fourth inning.
Post 80 put four runs on the scoreboard in the top of the fourth inning when Andrew Bryan, Neal Patterson, Andrew Harry and Jacob McCollough all scored. Harry and Michael Dutton both had two-RBI hits in the inning.
Daphne answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning, but never overcame Post 80's lead. Post 80 tacked on an insurance run in the seventh inning when Michael Dutton scored for a 5-2 win.
Michael Miller was on the mound for Post 80 in the game and pitched a complete game allowing two runs on three hits and two walks. He struck out two.
Post 80 continued its winning ways against the host Foley Post 99 team with a 7-3 victory.
Post 80 went on top 2-0 in the second inning when Cole Sightler and Michael Dutton scored and added another run in the fifth when Trevor Mathews rounded the bases.
Foley scored three runs in the fifth to knot the score at 3-3, but Andalusia went on to record a 7-3 win with four unanswered runs down the stretch.
Andrew Bryan, Neal Patterson and Jacob McCollough each scored in the sixth to give Post 80 a 6-3 edge. Michael Couch added a run in the seventh to secure the win.
Tyler Wilson pitched a complete game for Post 80 getting the win. He allowed three runs on six hits, one walk and one hit batter. He struck out 10 in the game.
In the final game of the tournament for the Post 80 team, the team members scored four runs for a 4-2 victory over Brewton.
Brewton scored one run in the first and another in the second for a 2-0 lead going into the third.
Post 80 rallied for one run in the third when Justin Shiver reached on a single and came around to score.
Post 80 went on top in the fourth inning when Andrew Harry and Jacob McCollough both scored. Post 80 went on to record a 4-2 win with Robby Foreman tacking on an insurance run in the top of the seventh inning.
