"It was a big success," Little League District Administrator Fred Taylor said when asked about the 2002 Alabama Little League State Tournament.

"It's probably the best tournament we've had in Andalusia," Taylor said. "We had a lot of compliments on everything."

He also said Dwight Mikel and Alan Bracewell with the Department of Leisure Services were a big reason for the tournament's success. Andalusia Little League President Rick Long was also commended for doing a great job.

This is Taylor's last year as a District Administrator and he said it is nice to go out on top.

"I get to go out on a high note," Taylor said. "Everything was great. I wouldn't change a thing.
