What were they thinking?

Dear Editor:

Excuse me?

Just exactly what were the members of the 9th District Court smoking when they came up with that decision?

And where did they think they were? One person claims to be offended by our Nation's Pledge of Allegiance and they pass a ruling claiming it unconstitutional????

Hello? What was that?

So he’s offended, so what?

The Nazi flag offends me, the Rebel flag offends some, young boys wearing their pants down to their knees with their underwear showing offends me, but God Bless us every one, we live in a free country where we are allowed to do these things. If it offends you, don’t participate! I don’t wear my pants down around my knees with my underwear showing, nor does my husband! We don’t fly a Nazi flag, nor a rebel one for that matter, it offends us, so we don’t do it.

That however doesn’t mean that I have a right to tell you that you can’t do it!

Our country was founded on the principles of freedom, and the right to worship, or not worship whomever or whatever we choose. It's a sad state of affairs when one person can determine what we can or can’t say, or what we can or can’t believe in! Does any one remember Hitler? We have men and women fighting and putting their lives on the line everyday for our freedoms, fighting the war on terrorism, and the message we want to send to them is what?

That the pledge of allegiance, the very thing they are fighting for is what?

Unconstitutional? I don’t understand!

What I do understand is that daily, politicians are trying to find ways to remove God from our lives. For some reason they find God to be offensive. Yet the more they take God out of our lives, the more they expect him to intervene in our lives! I saw a sign once that read, when God was IN schools, Guns we OUT!

If you think about it, you will find that this is the truth. As recently as 10 years ago, we didn’t have school house shootings all over the news! And now look at us, it's common place to hear about these types of shootings, or Postal shootings, work place shootings. Any correlation?

I think so!

There are plenty of other countries that you could move to, where there aren’t any freedoms; and to me it sounds like you would be right at home!
