Stanley Ray Bowen
Stanley Ray Bowen, 50, of Andalusia died Sunday, August 4, 2002 in a Dothan hospital.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 7 at 11 a.m. from the Foreman Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Ganus and Rev. Robert Canant officiating.
Survivors include his wife Diane Bowen of Andalusia; two sons, Ray and Tracy Bowen, both of Andalusia; seven stepchildren, Todd Carroll and Kristi Watts of Andalusia, Renee Nichols of Brantley, Carrie Johnson of Evergreen, Penny Broome of Adrian, Mich., Robin Randell of Durant, Oklahoma, and Wesley Cross of Andalusia; two grandchildren, Alex and Trey Bowen of Andalusia; five sisters, Glyndia Baker of Red Level, Gayle Smith of Georgiana, Diane Ledbetter of Andalusia, Sandra Robertson of McKenzie and Jane Bowen of Andalusia and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Marvin and Jewel Bowen, a brother, Donnie Bowen and a step son, Lee Jay Carroll.
Pallbearers will be James Scruggs, Bobby Baker, Rickey Smith, Terry Ledbetter, R.T. Browder, Patrick Watts, Cody Johnson and Stan Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Aron Bowen, Stephen Bowen and Trey Bowen.
Brenda Weaver
Brenda Weaver, 54, Andalusia died Monday, August 5, 2002 in a Dothan Hospital.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m.,Thursday at Keahey Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Vaughn officiating. Special music was provided by Mary Scott.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Ray Weaver of Andalusia; two sons, Billy Don Weaver of Andalusia and Ollie Ray Bush, Jr. of Montevallo; a brother, Conrad Taylor of Virginia; three grandchildren, Tanner Franklin Weaver, Taylor Blake Weaver and Farrah Jayce Weaver.
Pallbearers were Kenny Weaver, Preston Weaver, Glenn Weaver, Jr., William Ainsworth, Eugene Ainsworth and Donnie Weaver.
Lucille Chavers Mullen
Lucille Chavers Mullen, 79, went home to be with the Lord on August 7, 2002 after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank N. (Beetsie) Mullen.
Mullen is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Jimmy Park of Wetumpka and Gayle and Dannie Hughes of Andalusia; three sons and daughters-in-law; Larry and Gail Mullen of Andalusia, Timmy and Debbie Mullen and Terry and Robbie Mullen of Cottonwood. "Big Mama" leaves behind twelve grandchildren, Kenneth Mullen, Pam Mullen Doster, Yvonne Park Davidson, Yvette Park Budett, Anna Park Golden, Brad Hughes, Clint Hughes, Tara Brendi, Amber, Kayla and Amy Mullen; and eight great grandchildren. Mullen is also survived by one brother, W.J. Chavers of Robertsdale and four sisters; Bell Chavers Hamm of Robertsdale, Ester Chavers Goodman of Andalusia, Lottie Chavers Bracewell of North Tonawanda, N.Y. and Louita Chavers Bennett of San Francisco, Calf.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 10, at 2 p.m. from the Foreman Funeral Home with burial in the Cedar Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Pastor Michael D. Harrell and grandson, Ken Burdett will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Mullen, Brad Hughes, Clint Hughes, Casey Davidson, Billy Doster and Shannon Golden.
The body will lie instate at Foreman Funeral Home from 6 p.m. Friday to the time of services.
